The Lord's Prayer (1)

On the two occasions in which Jesus teaches us this prayer, he shows that real prayer is expressed by those upon whom the Kingdom of God has come. They know the blessedness of having received the Messiah who has come to fulfil the law, to cast out the ruler of this world, and to bring people to His Father. 

Prayer flows naturally from the heart of a citizen of the Kingdom of God and a child of the Father. They are living and expressing the reality that 'the righteous requirement of the law [has been] fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.' (Rom. 8:4)
