An Overview of Jesus' Childhood

Luke identifies Jesus' parents among the pious remnant. They complied with the ceremonial law & returned to Nazareth. Consideration is given to Matthew's account to suggest a suitable chronology. Luke's profile of Jesus' character as a youth is examined. In a backwater town, the oldest of at least 4 brothers & 2 sisters, assuming the family business with the likely early death of Joseph, Jesus grew physically & spiritually. Wisdom characterized His youth as He lived in the grace of God. Every child who wants to follow Jesus is challenged to be a child as He was a Child.
