Relief from my unbelief

237

Do you need relief from unbelief? Will you admit your unbelief to our Father? The very act of admitting we struggle with unbelief does demonstrate some faith. If you didn't have any faith you wouldn't bother confessing and asking for help. "Help", as seen in our text, means to aid or to relive. This father did believe it was possible but he knew he needed some relief. His unbelief needed to be removed, so that more faith could be planted in his heart. it takes a big person to tell God I need help. Often we would rather hide in a closet with our unbelief and whisper, God's got it. Leaving us to wonder what is going to happen because we are only giving lip service. We all have these issues in some place in our lives. And what we need to do is take it to Jesus, asking for help or relief in this area of our lives. Just like the father here did with his son. The enemy doesn't want us to do that though. He will cause distractions. Amplify the failures. Cause questions to raise doubts and fears. Burdens to anchor that unbelief in our hearts. But the master has relief, seek Him he wants to be involved with us.
