Sola Fide (Faith Alone)

We are saved by grace alone through faith alone. It is not faith, plus works. Justification is not a process by which we are made righteous, as Rome insists. It is a legal declaration of righteousness that takes place instantaneously upon a sinner's faith in Christ. All true believers are justified now. They are righteous now. They are not waiting to be righteous some day in heaven after they have spent a lifetime working hard to be so, followed by hundreds or thousands of years in purgatory. They are righteous now because the righteousness of Jesus Christ, His perfect obedience, has been imputed to them through faith. And that faith is a gift of God.
