Solomon was great... but He was no Jesus.

Solomon was a great King... but Jesus is the King of kings.

Solomon possessed great wisdom... but Jesus is the wisdom of God.

Solomon shared a great word from God... but Jesus is the Word of God.

Solomon had great riches... but in Jesus is found the unsearchable riches of God.

Solomon shared the hope he clung to... but Jesus is the blessed hope of glory.

Solomon spoke with grace... but Jesus is the personification of God's redeeming grace.

Solomon entertained royals... but Jesus embraces and equips the redeemed and humble of every socioeconomic group of men and women, from paupers to princes and everyone in between.

Solomon could tell you all about people in general (Proverbs)... but Jesus can tell you everything about you and still love you.

Solomon could lavish queens, kings and dignitaries with gold, silver and great things... but Jesus is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever think, ask or imagine by the power that He works in and through us.

Solomon knew a great deal of God's forgiveness... but Jesus' life, death and shed blood is the only acceptable sacrifice offered and cleansing agent available that sinners like Solomon, myself and you could be forgiven and reconciled to God.

Solomon could explain God's salvation and ways... but Jesus is God's salvation and way.
