The 'Weeping Prophet,' Jeremiah, pleads with the people of Israel to repent and have real faith in God that has the fruit of repentance. Jeremiah uses many word pictures: cisterns, stones, trumpets, etc., to try to help Israel see their need to repent. This message is a call to those trying to live according to two paths to repent and follow God in truth. It is a call to those not seriously following Christ to begin doing so, and is a call to God's people to pray earnestly for those in sin.
