Salt and Light

Thesis: What is our role as Christians as we live on the earth?

1. What are we Salt? - v.13-14
   a. Preservative - There none that seek for God, not even one. God sent His salt , those redeemed, into the world to preserve for him a remnant. By preaching of the gospel that is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.

b. Flavor - We give off this flavor in the message we peak and the life we live. 2 Cor 2:14-16

c. Makes you thirsty - Through the message we create spiritual thirst.

2. What are we Light? V.14-15

a. Christ clearly points that the world is a dark.

b. 1 Peter 2:9 - we were once in darkness.

c. Ephesians 5:8 - we were once darkness

d. John 1:9/9:5/12:36

3. The Result v 16

a. Let your light shine and let them see your good works - it is all for God's glory.

b. Do men see Jesus Christ in you? Don't be afraid to speak, show, live the salt and light life.
