Those Who Understood the Times With Knowledge

First Chronicles 12:32 tells of certain men of Israel who “understood the times with knowledge or what Israel was to do.” We begin our new year the same way. We are not OT Jews, but rather the New Testament church, but we also should “understand the times with (biblical) knowledge” as we look at the world through the Word of God. We see of the judgment God has promised, but we also see His sovereign hand—which is where we need to start the year.
