Be Prepared

459

Those who are "watching" (Mk. 13:37) see events unfolding in our world that indicate the "perilous times" warned about in scripture are upon us. America is being destroyed by traitors from within who have dismantled both our economy and our Constitution, moving our factories to China, legislating away the Bill of Rights and bankrupting the nation to fight foreign wars that have NOTHING to do with our security. The war we now see developing in the Mideast involving Iran, Syria, Russia Israel and the U.S. may well become the prophesied Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39 that will usher in the period of "great tribulation" that the Lord Jesus said would be unparalleled in history. We are warned even by pres. candidate and globalist insider, Newt Gingrich, of a possible EMP strike against America that could instantly destroy all electronic circuitry in its wake, wiping out the power grid, shutting down all transportation and food distribution, and resulting in untold millions of deaths within a matter of a few days.

The greatest story in the Bible of preparation for disaster is the story of King Hezekiah, who when faced with an invasion by an army of 185,000 Assyrians did not presumptively put God to the test, but did all he could do to prepare materially, and then made it clear to Israel that they were not to fear or to trust in their provisions or the "arm of the flesh" - but were to trust in the Lord their God. Likewise we should be prepared materially, but must also be prepared SPIRITUALLY for days ahead:

  1. Prepare to Pray - and to see God's Providence
  2. Prepare to Preach - and earn a soul-winner's reward
  3. Prepare to Prevail - we are on the winning side
