Made Perfect in Love

What does it mean that God's love is made complete in us? The fact that we should and can love as He loved us flies in the face of our own failures at loving.  Christ taught us that we can only love as He loved and as the Father loved by living in their love - the gift and power of it. He made the Father known to us so that the Father's love for him may also be in us, because the Triune God indwells us. John's concern for true obedience, loving one another and confessing Christ's genuine incarnation are all with a view to the wonderful reality of being made complete in His love.
