Expectant Memory

I do believe there are many veterans who served heroically for principles the believed in and supported. This does, indeed, make them heroes. When we fail to remember the sacrifices given, we fail to remember the reasons for the sacrifices. That is why God established memorials for Israel as well as for us. When those memorials came into view, we not only see the event, but we also recall the reasons. May the cross and the empty tomb forever remind us of the accomplishments of God then so that we might live with an expectant memory now.
