Spiritual experience can only be saving and beneficial if founded on Biblical truths.

1. The ignorance of the world. "The world hath not known thee".
2. The saving necessity of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. "These have known that thou hast sent me."
3. The experimental reality this knowledge produces. "The love wherewith thou hast loved me be in them."
   Application: 1. The antithesis between the Christian and the world. 2. The centre of the Gospel is this sending of the Lord Jesus Christ. 3. The evidence of salvation is knowing God.
