Genesis 7:6-24

This section of Chapter 6 informs us how Noah found grace in God's eyes. Noah built the ark and saved his family and some animals per God's instructions. God sent the great flood and destroyed all the evil men on earth at that time, save Noah, his family, and select animals. It also gives us information on Noah's descendants. There will be many repeats in this chapter, and that's because God has deemed that information important for our well-being, so pay attention to the point of the story.

6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. God tells us exactly how old Noah was when the flood started.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. Eight people went into the ark.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creeps upon the earth, Even at this time God had divided the animals into clean and unclean. At this point He lets Noah know that he is to take them all on the ark. For your reference, the definition of clean and unclean animals is found in Leviticus 11, the whole chapter, and Deuteronomy 14:1-20. These instructions were given to Israel, not the church. We as a church are not under that law. Clean animals are referred to as “kosher”.
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. Noah didn't have to go round up any animals. God made the animals come to Noah in their own in a peaceful manner.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. They went into the ark .....
