Israel's Revival

What does a true revival look like? Is it the coming forth of a multitude of people at a 'crusade'? Is it a packed mega-church teeming with programs to meet the felt needs of our western culture?

Despite what many believe revival is, the Bible shows that revival happens when God sovereignly dispenses His Spirit amongst His people, which inevitably leads them to a profound and awe-inspiring sense of His infinite holiness, accompanied with a profound sense of their unworthiness and sinfulness in His presence.

Revival produces true, heart-felt obedience to God's commands, believing in His covenant faithfulness to bring about all He has promised His people.

May God in His mercy send forth His Spirit and revive this barren land of dry bones!

Church, may His Spirit effect a change in us so that we, with the Israelites, may again resume work on God's Temple!
