Forgiveness & Love For Christ

While Jesus was in the home of Simon the Pharisee, a woman of ill repute enters & begins to lavish perfume on Jesus' feet while smothering Him with kisses. What a contrast with Simon's cynical heartlessness! Here is a sinner who, knowing the forgiveness of God in Jesus, profusely pours out her love to Jesus. Are you grieved over a cold heart? Do you know the forgiveness of God but confess that it has been some time since you lavished your affections upon Jesus? She loved Jesus much because her many sins had been forgiven. Perhaps a fresh visit to the grace of God's forgiveness for you in Jesus would prime the pump of your heart springs & cause you to gush forth with adoring love for Jesus!
