Thank God for a Sure Salvation

In the first chapter, the Person and Work of Christ are declared in a most profound way. Fruit is born in two ways: "walk worthy of the Lord" and "we give thanks". Without neglecting the former our focus is on the latter. Paul linked the giving of thanks with the sure salvation found in Christ. The word "joy" appears at the end of verse eleven and "thanks" begins verse 12. What powerful dispositions of mind!
