As Isaiah encourages Israel with God's promise of restoration he is also to indicate that peace and joy will come at a cost. While they anticipate future glory they must expect persecution.

Verse 2 Continues to establish God's sovereign control over His creation and His people.
a. "All these things my hand has made"
ie. Heavens and Earth :1
b. "All these things exist" Lit plural verb, "Came to be" Cp. Gen 1:3
Septuagint and Syriac translate "Came to be and they are mine". Came to be for Me.! Ps 50:12

We must always remember that the world is not ours but God's.

Our last study we saw "The sphere of God's rule"
This study we see "The strength of God's rule"
