Maximising Money
Series Jesus Through Luke's Eyes
It is easier to do what God wants you to do if you view yourself the way God views you. You are a servant who has been given the responsibility of managing the money He has given you. Using God's resources in the way God requires is very important. It is a test. Faithfulness in little is faithfulness in much. The question is, not what I would do with the money I don't have, but with the money I do have. Regeneration evidences in right attitudes toward money. How you are doing financially is measured by how you are doing as a steward, not by your level of wealth. The way you use money now has an impact on the life to come. Good stewardship reveals strong character. So what does faithful stewardship look like? Do you believe you are a steward? Are you living as if your money belongs to God? Are your priorities God's priorities? Are you being obedient to God's word? Are you making a plan to maximise your use of the resources He's given you? Food, tax, enjoyment, and the local church. If the glory of God is not at the heart of my passion, I will have no desire to spend it well. God, people, Gospel.
