The Sovereign Election of God

The Bible plainly teaches that mankind is fallen. We are completely incapable of making ourselves acceptable to God because no amount of good works can erase our sins. It stands to reason, according to Paul's gospel, that in order for any to be saved, God must initiate the salvation. Using Israel's past as his proof, Paul teaches us about the sovereign election of God. Understanding this truth can move us from religion to relationship by showing that salvation depends upon God, not upon us.
