How The Lord Preserves His Word, Pt II: Did A Church Council Pick The Books?

This is the second part of a brief sermon series on how we got the Bible. Why are some books in it and others ("The Lost Books of the Bible") aren't?

Many people think the Bible -- particularly the New Testament -- was put together by a church council. This is usually a charge made by unbelievers, essentially claiming that the Bible is man's product.

Occasionally you will meet someone who has heard that the New Testament canon was voted upon by the First Council of Laodicea in the Fourth Century.

This sermon shows how the Lord has miraculously preserved His Word through the centuries...and it wasn't done by committees.
