Like Greek culture in Paul's time, our society has lost all control in relation to sexual ethics. His remedy is simple and clear: "abstain from sexual immorality." In these verses Paul explains that total purity is essential for the Christian, and that it can only be attained by the Holy Spirit's work within. Sexual purity ought to be one of the clearest marks of a true gospel church in our generation - is it so with us?
