The End of the Earth

If the point of the story was what happens to Paul, then the ending is not particularly satisfying. But then again,
Paul has never been the point of the story. Paul has been useful in Luke's narrative, because he illustrates the point that a servant is not greater than his master. But the story has never been about Paul. From start to finish, the story has been about what Jesus continued to do and to teach through his apostles. Acts is the story of how the Spirit came upon the apostles, and they were Jesus' witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
