Keeping Christ in Christianity

Many Chistians are concerned about and active in issues that are not exactly 'religious' in nature. There is nothing wrong with this. But there is a likelihood that such concerns – even if they are legitimate - may become confused with the message and the ministry that God has committed to the Church, what Paul calls “the ministry of reconciliation” in Second Corinthians 5:19. In our day and age, our main task may be to ensure we don't lose the message of reconciliation through Christ because we have fallen into that state of mind that Screwtape might call “Christianity And Politics.” We don't want to run the risk of making people wonder what the cross was all about.
