Joyfulness

Joy ought to be one of the characteristics of the Christian. We tend to get bogged down with our own failures, the state of the world and the state of the Church and forget what we have in Christ, both present and future. Of course, we should sorrow over all of these things but we are to rejoice in the Lord always, rejoice in tribulation, and, above all that our names are written in Heaven, Christians are the most privileged people on earth, though we are at war with the world the flesh and the Devil, or we ought to be. But we are headed for a place where there is joy unspeakable and full of glory.
