The exalted Lord

What do we declare and desire in the midst of confusion? The language and spirit of Psalm 21:13 helps us: "Be exalted, O Lord, in your own strength! We will sing and praise your power." Here is a proper wish—for the rising high of our God and King. Here is a proper way—in his own strength, and not according to human power and wisdom. Here, too, is a proper end—both now and in his coming to judge the world, God's people will sing and praise the power of our King.
