2: Jean Henri Dunant (1828-1910)

Another in a series of Children's Talks on Christians of the past. Here, we have the concluding talk on the life and work of Jean Henri Dunant, born into a devout Christian family, but who began to forget about God as he let the love of money, and a desire for business success take over his life. However, the Lord intervened in a most remarkable way, and as we will learn in these two brief talks, Jean Henri Dunant went on to do remarkable things, and even today the world is influenced by one of the things he became most well-known for, the founding of the organisation called The Red Cross. And as we learn, he went on to be jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in 1901. Also, interestingly the 1864 Geneva Convention was based on Dunant's ideas.
