Some Good Advice for the New Year

Where can the believer find rest and hope for their souls in troubled times? Insurance companies and banks fail all the time; homes and churches are burnt, robbed, vandalised, or destroyed by natural circumstances. In our text we find Peter giving God's people some good advice; this is profitable every day but especially in this first week of the new year let us hear, and heed this good advice.
