Joy in Trials

James 1.2-15 provides us with help when the inevitable trials and tests come into our lives. How do we experience joy in the midst of trials? It won’t involve putting on a brave and happy face. Instead, we must view these trials as an opportunity for God to build endurance into our lives. Our text divides into four sections which consist of a:

Command: Count trials as joy (2-4).
Plea: Ask God for wisdom (5-8).
Resolve: Maintain an eternal perspective (9-11).
Purpose: Live an eternal quality of life (12-15).
