Indwelling faith

We can’t do anything for God without faith. In faith we allowed God to take some things from us (such as our death sentence) and then through faith He gave us a new life and new responsibilities. Our faith comes from God who gives it to us freely. But we must put our faith to work for it to grow. Are we living by faith or by self?
