The Ark of the Covenant

Christ is our God for the ark in the heart of the Tabernacle represents God. Christ is fully God, fully man.

Christ is our Prophet for in the ark is kept the Law of God. Christ is he who teaches us God’s will for us.

Christ is our King for the ark contains both the Law and the Rod of Aaron that budded.

Christ alone has the prerogative to rule over us and to demand obedience to us.

Christ is also our Priest for the yearly sprinkling of blood on the Mercy Seat is but to remind us that there can be no reconciliation between God and His people without the shedding of blood by He who is represented by the Tabernacle and the Ark itself.
