Relationships

Putting what people think first can mean compromising:

  1. Our personal relationship with God.
  2. Our relationship with ourselves.
    We are more concerned with what people think than we are
    about what God wants.
    Relationships are God's tool for influence.
    People pleasing is a spiritual problem.
    There is a problem with our relationship with God when we
    are more worried about popular opinion than we are about
    authentic faith.
    People pleasing is cured by fearing God.
    Loving and serving God may not make you popular.
    Galatians 1:10; John 12:4446;
    Matthew 7:2123
    People who truly fear God have hope in a better tomorrow.
    Somebody within your realm of influence is facing hopelessness:
  • They are in a dire situation.
  • They see only darkness, not light.
  • They are on the wrong path and they are headed for hell.
