Mt. Pisgah & Nebo,The Finale: You Can LOOK but That's IT_5PT2Deut. 3:23,25;34:1-12 Two mountains that are linked together: Mount Pisgah and Mount Nebo. This is where God allowed a Moses to view the Promised Land but would not let him cross into Canaan. Here was a man called of God to deliver Hs people from bondage. Over 2 million Jews had followed him out of Egypt, through the Red Sea and through the wilderness. It was Moses who received the 10 Commandments and wrote the first five books of the Bible. It was Moses, at the direction of God, who set up the Tabernacle in the wilderness. He worked full time right to the very end. Not everyone has the health to work full time right to the end. We may not be able to do everything that we used to do when we were younger and stronger. But we must never cease serving God as much as we are able. Let us die in the saddle. Let us not rust or rot away the last years of our life. The Finale: You Can LOOK but That's IT I. The Showing for Moses v. 33:23,25;34:1-4 II. The Surrendering of Moses v.34:5-8 A. Identifying your hindrances Ask God to help you with it. He will! Keep in mind, He may not choose to remove the hindrance, but He will give you the grace to overcome it. B. Renewing your efforts Unfortunately, Moses was never given another opportunity to make things right. Oh, yes, he repented of his sin, and God forgave him; but he never entered the Promised Land. You may be a Christian, and like Moses, you have lost sight of the big picture--things have gotten in your way, something has distracted you. Why not say, "Lord, renew within me a right spirit--give me that passion I need to carry on."
