Understanding Anger

The verse 'be angry and do not sin' is not giving us permission to be angry but rather warning us to beware of how easy it is to slip into sin when we are angry. Thus we see that the thrust of biblical counsel on this topic is to be slow to anger and if angry, to deal with it quickly. When we fail to do this we give the Devil opportunity to create havoc in our lives and in our relationships.
