Has It Been For Nothing?

Paul's fourth question directed to the Galatians (3:4) is, 'Did you suffer so many things in vain -- if indeed it was in vain?' His concern is that the Galatians may be willing to throw away their past in the interest of taking up with 'by the flesh' religion. So many things had been experienced in the early years of the walk with Christ. Would it be all for naught? This question is expounded and personalized relative to the history of our church.
