Asking the Tough Questions

It's true... good followers position themselves, daily, to be great leaders.

God found and took David... from following the sheep and made him a shepherd that would lovingly lead His flock.

The difference between David and Saul was a fresh and daily work of grace that God was doing in David's life.

I ask a series of questions in this message to find out if we're a DAILY follower/believer or an OCCASIONAL believer/follower.

A little something to think about...

Are you, am I, are we, guilty of being occasional? If you would, look over the following statements and ask yourself if they are a consistent pattern in your daily life or more occasional things that may happen in your week, month or year? You may not word it the same, and that's ok, but focus more on the principle in each statement than how it is exactly worded.

You don't have to report to me, by any means... but it is something we ALL ought to think about. The Scriptures teach us to ponder the path of our feet, and to guard our hearts, while seeking Him first, in all THINGS and above all THINGS.

So how about it... DAILY or OCCASIONALLY:

• I thank and praise Jesus for giving me a new day filled with His fresh mercies.
• I long to meet with Jesus, hear His voice and share my heart with Him each morning.
• I get up and find my Bible because I want to fellowship with Jesus and be fed by Him.
• I seek a word from God for the day ahead.
• I ask the Lord to show me what He has for me today and to give me clarity and direction.
• I ask Him for wisdom to know how to take the next step in dealing with a challenge I'm facing.
• I ask the Lord for compassion so I can help hurting
