The Seed of Abraham

The promise of God rests upon His immutability. He is the LORD. He does not change. God's wisdom determines the timing of all things. His mercy extends to our great need.

The blessing of the promise God gave to Abraham does not rest upon the Law. If it had, we would be without hope. If you access the promises of God through the Law, then Christ's first coming was in vain. You render it meaningless. The patriarchs of Israel (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) would also have no hope because they lived before the giving of the Law.

No, the promises of God are received by faith and by faith alone. God gave it to Abraham by promise; Abraham received it by faith …and so do we.
