The Place of Worship

In this chapter, Israel is commanded to worship in the place of God’s choosing after they enter the Promised Land. They must not worship like the nations they are displacing and they must not worship in just any place. It's common in our day and age to talk about worshiping God in nature or this or that place and this may have the sound of godly practice because worship in the New Testament is not restricted to one place. However, this chapter shows that worship must not be according to personal decision. God must be worshiped as He has chosen.
