Psalm 40

Three things we learn about Jesus (and the rescue He brings) in Psalm 40:

1. Jesus came, just as it was written in God’s book
   – He delighted to do the will of God
   – He delighted in praying to God and praising God
   – His sacrifice was the perfect sacrifice: once for all time

2. No matter how many troubles we are in because of sin (our own or others’), God’s way of rescue in Jesus “outnumbers” them all

3. We can show thanks to God for His salvation by delighting to do His will and telling others about Him
