    1.  God has spoken through angels 	
    2.  God spoke to prophets in dreams
    3.  God sometimes used visions
    4.  Occasionally, God spoke miraculously and with an audible voice -- like with Moses at the burning bush
    5.  But the most common way -- was God communicating with the spirit of the prophet -- or the author -- and he writes.
