They'll Groom You

The Groomers…

The "Nebuchadnezzars" of our modern day society are those influencers who will GROOM and GIVE special attention to the "cream of the crop" with an ultimate agenda to use them up for their own personal agenda. When grooming the "best" they'll feed them lies, fuel their flesh and nurture their self-centered motives... but all of it will comes at a cost.

Nebuchadnezzar had plans for these "top shelf" Hebrew boys. He wanted to change their THINKING, so he indoctrinated them with his philosophies. He wanted to change who they TRUSTED, so he gives them new names, attempting to erase their past and shift their attention away from the God of their upbringing. And he wanted to change what they TREASURED, so he provided the best the culture had to offer, the delicacies of the King, to devalue the principles, promises and provisions they once treasured. But none of this attention and grooming was ever about blessing, or even the wellbeing of these teenagers. That's right, it was never about these boys, it was always about Nebuchadnezzar's experiment with these boys, his agenda and what he could get out of them. I encourage you, in our modern day, do not to become someone's willfully experiment, unless it's exactly where Jesus has shepherded you. The safest place in all the world, even in the most dangerous and unlikely places of the world, is under the wings of God and in His will. Daniel was in the safest place he could ever be. We, too, should want to be right where God wants us... on or off the ball field, in or out college, with the job or without the job.
