The Law or Grace-Which?

Are those for whom Christ died in any sense still under the Law today? Why does the apostle Paul use the example of marriage and death of a spouse to show how the LORD's redeemed ones are not under law but married to Him, their God appointed Husband? What's the danger in those who attempt to preach law and grace?
