Gn 1:28 The threefold purposes:Reproduction:Be “fruitful and multiply”, have children (plural)/
Propagation: “populate the earth”; the world is to be inhabited by humans/Dominion: “subdue the earth”; the use of creation to man’s benefit
The ordinances were given to the couple. The woman is part of the process in these creation

This is prefigured in the OT: Boaz/Ruth’s Redemption/Osea buying Gomer/Ez 16/Ez 23/Isaiah 62:5
Jesus depicted redemption as a wedding feast in parables Mt 22:2-ff/Ephessians 5:25-ff
Revelation portrays it in allegorical language Rev 21:1-2
I.4 Bonus: Marriage was established for mankind delight and companionship
“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh”Proverbs 5:15-20/The Song of Solomon/Illustration: Ez 24:16-18
II – Marriage: Its Scope & Essence/ A) The bond of Marriage: “one flesh”/Gn 2:23-25 The word “flesh” {baw-sawr} is translated in related ways as either flesh, body or at times.Just as within the Godhead, there is diversity in oneness, so it is in marriage; two distinct persons become one flesh. One flesh is physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual oneness; it is a commitment to “stick” to one another until death separates
