The Biblical View of Culture and Social Theory 3

Historic Western civilization and its culture is a direct product of Biblical Christianity. In fact, it is moreover a product of the Protestant Reformation, particularly Calvinism, and the teachings
of the Seventeenth Century Puritans. Much of what freedom and morality Western Civilization enjoys today is a result of Biblical Christianity. To be ignorant of these historic truths is to be ignorant of American and Western Civilization's heritage.

Historic European and American social theory is a result of God's word applied-Its principals of Theocracy, Theonomy and Reconstruction.
Culture is religion externalized. Thus, society's cultural pattern is a direct reflection of society's god. Theology and culture cannot be divorced from one another.

Now, however, as a result of Western civilization's rejection of God's word, His laws and principals, society has produced another form of culture,
one which is alien to the original intent and cultural pattern which was
given by God to follow and has reacquired a Renaissance idealism of
“man, the measure of all things.”

This 3rd lecture continues to explore the cultural implications of Biblical
Eschatology as it impacts, not only the social theory of Western Civilization, but also the world.
