Freedom in Christ

This message in John 8 can only be understood by those who are spiritually prepared to take communion today, in the personal knowledge of their sins forgiven through the Lord Jesus and His gospel.
We are the people who have been set free from the terrible bondage of sin.
That is what communion means – and all glory goes to the Lord, our Saviour.
The difficult thing we discover in the teaching of the Lord is who are most in bondage, slavery, don't know it.
The most damning statement by the Lord is found in v34 "Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin."
The Lord used the word for bond slave. Of course, this arose out of the discussion made with the Jews who couldn't see their own bondage in sin.
