The Miracles in Jeremiah

Jeremiah is best known as the "weeping prophet" because he shed so many tears over the sins of his nation and her wicked people. Here was a powerful prophet with a tender heart who is sympathetic toward the coming down of his nation. His personality is a blend of severity and child-like tenderness. He was called of God to pull down and destroy; to build up and to plant. God gave him a miraculous vision of the work he was called to do (1:10-19); the awful nature of Jeremiah's call was to declare the desolation of his important country.
