Appropriate Praise for God's Goodness

If you will read the earlier part of this psalm you will see that David was in deep distress as he wrote its words of lamentation (see vs. 10-12). In this sad condition David found consolation in turning his thoughts from the present troubles to the goodness of God. His doing so is very wise and he instructs us to hear his thoughts and to let our minds embrace God's goodness. Forget your needs and remember the loving kindness of Jehovah.
