There is wisdom in the Word of God. There is joy in the Word of God but here we learn there is Terror in the Word of God. You cannot trifle with it. You must be diligent to enter into its truth. The picture drawn for us is the Word of God as the judge of hearts. The idea of judgment really means to separate out all the facts in order to determine guilt or innocence. Here the author has been referring those he is writing to, to the voice of the Spirit speaking a call to come today into God's Rest. And he has drawn his argument so far from the revealed Word of God. Now he says... in effect don't trifle... take light the Word of God for it will stand in judgment against you one day.
