Jesus Christ: The New Temple

Jesus cleansing the temple points to how He came to both purify a people and to prepare a dwelling place for them. And Jesus replacing the temple shows us how He is now the embodiment of the presence of God on earth, which opens up the way for the dwelling place of God to be with man once again.
