Unashamed of Jesus

No one wants to be looked down upon as uncultured, narrow-minded or bigoted. Yet that is exactly how Bible-believing Christians are portrayed by our culture today: Christian students often face this pressure as instructors push the false doctrines of “tolerance” and evolution. Christian employees face this pressure as co-workers puzzle over differences in work ethic and social behavior. Churches, too, face this pressure, as evidenced by efforts to make the gospel “less offensive” and worship “more entertaining.” Oh, how we still need this 1st century encouragement from Scripture: “… Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord…” (2 Timothy 1:8, NKJV).
