Today were going to start by listening to a testimony of a girl who was part of the Unification Church and what she experienced.
This young woman tells of her experiences, going out with other Moonies and trying to raise money for Sun Myung Moon. She reveals the pressure she underwent as she attempts to meet her daily quotas and what happened if she didn't. She also tells of her 20 hour days and low protein diet that is forced upon her as she is manipulated by the Unification Church.
What is Indemnity?
During the testimony you will hear of how this young woman is taught to punish herself in order to cleanse herself and her ancestors of past sin. Sun Myung Moon called this indemnity. This doctrine of indemnity is the idea that they need to do works contrary to their human desires for the purposes of removing sin. This sounds like a different gospel to me. In this testimony we hear how she would take cold showers, deprive herself of sleep, pray for hours at a time and fast for a week just to try and preform this practice of indemnity.
Salvation is no longer by grace in this system. Neither was the work of Christ finished on the cross as he said it was. In order to be saved according to the Unification Church doctrine, you must first have the death of Christ to cover spiritual sin, then you must be part of the true family under Sun Myung Moon, and lastly you must perform indem
